What is supply chain and what not (about me)

The first post is here. I'd like to start by clarifying what I mean when I talk about the Supply Chain and what I don't mean. As I see it, the Supply Chain is all the useful steps taken to get our finished product sold, ordering the raw materials, producing all the components needed to make the better finished product, shipping those and, why not, the processes to manage those after the product is sold. The only things I look at outside of the supply chain are finance and marketing.
